However, the Aqualine 9.5 mm requires sustained attention during descent, as well as appropriate technique. The 9.5 mm diameter allows it to remain flexible after retraction to facilitate knots and kitting. Also, the Aqualine 9.5 mm has a very low elongation (only 2.4%) due to the presence of a static strand of Vecran inside. When retracting, the Aqualine 9.5 mm tends to warp slightly, because the Vectran does not retract, but this effect has no consequences for the use of the rope.
