The PMI® Avatar Deluxe Harness is available now in Standard. The current version includes lower-profile quick-release buckles at the waist and leg risers and lanyard parking points on both shoulders for connector storage when not in use.

Built for rescue, rope access, fall-arrest, and confined-space applications. Integrated upper and lower harness sections and color-coded buckles support donning and fit checks. Made in the USA.

Choose the 33″ length for compact harness carry, or 4′, 6′, and 8′ lengths for broader anchor geometry. Each length supports girth hitch, basket, and choker configurations at anchor points.

Tested to 22 kN straight pull, 12,300 lbs basket, and 5,300 lbs choker.

The Pro bridle comes in a 2-leg version, attached to an SMC Origin 5 Rigging Plate, or a 4-leg version with a 10,000 lb. forged O-ring. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the PMI®/SMC Deluxe or JR Haul System, it can be used as a complete litter scoop solution.

At the lower end of the harness are adjustable leg loops that are secured around the patient’s upper leg in order to lift his weight. They are sewn to the vertical harness webbing at the side of the Sked. In case of an amputation you just use one leg loop around the existing leg. If both legs are amputated the leg straps are buckled to each other to form a loop around the patient’s lower torso which will keep him positioned in the upper part of the Sked which makes it far easier to handle the Sked. This configuration of the leg straps also makes it possible to form an improvised junctional tourniquet which will aid in controlling bleeding.

At the top end of the harness there is an attached chest harness to keep the patient from sliding out in case the Sked somehow gets inverted. It is crossed across the patient’s arms and shoulders and will form an X over the chest for maximum safety.

The VersaTether is a single leg, the VersaTwo Lanyard has two legs with the sewn eye being twisted to allow for a better location of the lanyard position on the harness. The VersaLink

Lanyard also has two legs and a short loop for making a close connection.

Testing shows that tied knots can help provide increased safety by helping to reduce impact forces in the event of a fall.
