American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)


America’s oldest and largest professional safety organization for professionals managing, supervising and consulting on safety, health, and environmental issues.

ASTM International


Full consensus, voluntary standards on a variety of topics including search and rescue operations and equipment.

Cordage Institute (CI)


Cordage standards pertaining to all varieties of rope, including life safety rope.

Mountain Rescue Association (MRA)

Volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through rescue and safety education.

Membership organization furthering professional, literary and scientific knowledge and training in rescue fields.
